Series Introduction
There are moments in life where everything in front of you feels like it should add up…..but it doesn’t.
You did what was right.
You followed God the best way you knew how.
You trusted Him with your decisions.
And yet… the outcome doesn’t make sense.
But what if the problem isn’t that God isn’t working….what if it’s that we’re trying to understand Him from a level we were never meant to see from?
Scripture tells us clearly: God’s thoughts are not our thoughts, and His ways are not our ways.
Which means there will be moments where what He allows, what He’s doing, and what we’re experiencing won’t align with our logic.
Not because He’s absent….but because He’s operating from a perspective higher than ours.
So when life doesn’t make sense, it doesn’t automatically mean something is wrong.
It may mean you’re standing in the middle of something only God fully understands.
And the question becomes:
Will you only trust God when it makes sense….or will you trust Him because He is God?
Because sometimes faith begins where understanding ends.

When Nothing Adds Up
There are seasons in life where nothing adds up. Where no matter how faithfully you’ve tried to walk, the outcome in front of you doesn’t reflect what you thought obedience would produce.
It’s easy to trust God when the fruit makes sense. But often, understanding doesn’t come until after the fire…after the fallout…after you’ve walked through something that wasn’t supposed to happen.
Sometimes the very people you trust are the ones who hurt you. Not out of malice, but out of brokenness, fear, or even protection.
And life keeps unfolding….health struggles, family complications, everyday pressures…until you realize how much of what people carry is the byproduct of chaos they didn’t create.
We want to define what God should do. We want outcomes that make sense.
But God is either God, or He isn’t.
So what do you do when you’re in a valley that doesn’t make sense from any angle?.
Where truth feels dangerous.
Where doing what is right could still cause pain.
Where the fallout of someone else’s past becomes your present.
Even forgiven sin leaves consequences.
So how do you trust God there?
Faith is choosing to trust Him when nothing adds up.
Obedience is not about controlling the outcome…it’s about surrendering to the One who already holds it.
And when every path feels uncertain, there is still only one way through.
Through it.
And that way is covered by the blood of Jesus.
