Colossians 3:17 (NIV):�”And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.”
Objective
To understand how to live a Christ-centered life by aligning our words, actions, and attitudes with God’s purpose.

1. What Does “Whatever You Do” Mean?
This phrase covers everything in life: our words, actions, and choices.
————Reflection Question:
Are there areas in your life (work, relationships, leisure) that you haven’t fully submitted to Christ?
————Application:
List daily activities and consider how you can do them for Christ’s glory.
————Work:
Work with integrity and diligence as though working for God (Colossians 3:23).
————Speech:
Speak with kindness and encouragement (Ephesians 4:29).
2. Acting “In the Name of the Lord Jesus”
————Meaning:
To act “in His name” means to reflect His character, values, and mission.
————Example:
When helping others, remember Christ’s servant heart (Matthew 20:28).
————Reflection Question:
How can you make decisions that align with Christ’s teachings?
————Practical Step:
Pause before deciding to pray, asking, “Does this honor God?”
3. Giving Thanks in All Things
Why Give Thanks?
–Gratitude shifts our focus to God’s blessings, even in difficult times (1 Thessalonians 5:18).
————Reflection Question:
How often do you stop to thank God during your day?
* Application:
* Keep a gratitude journal.
* Make thanksgiving a daily habit—start meals, work, or tasks with prayer.

1. What challenges do you face in living out this verse in your daily life?
2. Share a specific example of how you’ve done something “in the name of the Lord.”
3. How can practicing gratitude impact your relationship with God and others?
————Action Step
Pick one area of your life (work, family, free time) and commit this week to intentionally do everything in that area “in the name of the Lord Jesus.” Share your experience at the next meeting or with a trusted friend.
